E3 Discovers Better Game Industry Statistics Are a Reality

Despite any talk of a global economic down turn, it turns out that the video game industry just may be doing a whole lot better than many critics have been leading the public to believe. At the latest E3 show in Los Angeles, visitors have been prowling the Los Angeles Convention Center to get a glimpse at all the latest new forms of entertainment that are headed to the video game world this year. Hundred of booths are shown and those who have appointments have been able to test out new hardware and games, but due to the extremely high numbers of gamers in attendance, it is not exactly easy to get a glimpse of just anything without the right contacts. Many analysts have been saying that the month after month decline in games and hardware sales were painting a very gloomy picture for the industry, but things are now starting to look up and it appears that despite a 26 percent decline from last year, the industry is indeed on the rebound and looking to rise quite rapidly thanks to some very solid revenue streams helping things along for the companies involved.

It appears that the measures used by certain companies to gauge the earnings of the industry as a whole have left significant gaps in income that has been coming from used games, full game digital downloads, game rentals, mobile game apps, subscription services and download content. All of these big changes have done much to change the way that consumers shop when it comes to the games industry and judging by this year’s innovations, gamers are delighted by what they see, ready to pull out their wallets to pull the industry back on track.
